The DIF in Mexico has a program called  PREALFA that begins as an alternative to prevent the  abuse of drugs in the family or in the community. 
 
Typically, communities have targeted schools and school yards, parks and places, public housing developments, and specific neighborhoods or city blocks as places where drugs are sold 
 
The Department provides leadership and coordination in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive statewide alcohol and other drug abuse prevention, intervention, detoxification, recovery and treatment services delivery system all this enfocated to the youths and students trough promotion and information. 

In Prealfa there are talkings,conferences, speeches and dinamic activities that pretend  to make them safer and their communities stronger.  

The talkings are impartyed by an excellent terapyst and by a social worker.
